Saturday the 3rd of September saw the first ever Globall party take place at Worden Academy in Leyland!
After many months of hard work and graft, and many test runs, it was finally time for Globall Sports to kick off. With a party of 10 children, aged 10-12, they got the first ever Globall Sports party underway in high spirits.
As you would expect the game was tightly contested between the two teams. Neither side giving an edge throughout the half and by half time there was very little in it. The two teams then broke off for a break and well needed drink refreshment.
This UV football is thirsty work!
The two teams returned sporting their yellow and orange bibs respectively. Ready and revitalised to get the second half underway. Just like the first half, it was an even contest, neither side wanting to lose. Who wants to be the first ever team to lose a Globall party?
The game was so close it had to be decided by a penalty shootout. Nerves were jangling, it was like the World Cup final, and losing was not an option.
Unfortunately there had to be a winner and a loser. And on this occasion the orange team took the spoils, along with the bragging rights as the first ever winners in Globall history! The yellows were gracious in defeat and congratulated the orange team on their victory.
Both teams then left the pitch to enjoy some well need food and drink along with some cake, and everyone left rather pleased.
This could well be the start of something very special…
